Best Hotels and Resorts in the US
While there are some amazing far flung destinations around the world, some of our favorite resorts and hotels are right here in the US- we wanted to share with you our top picks!
For a great East Coast flair, Cliff House Maine always comes in a winner. It’s stunning and gorgeous, with rich history, room to roam, and situated close to the Ogunquit Beach. It’s also a great split stay for a trip to Boston just over an hour away!
Why we like it:
- Unforgettable coastal views set on 70 acres atop Bald Head Cliff
- Huge rooms and all King beds
- They have a partnership with Volvo for guests and offer cars to take out and explore!
Taking a hop across the States, another cliffside favorite of ours is Terranea Resort. Set on the gorgeous Palos Verdes Peninsula set on just over 100 acres, it’s another gem with sea breezes, nearby beaches, and some amazing farm to table cuisine.
Why we like it:
- It’s one of those rare spots you can watch the sun rise and set over the ocean in one spot
- The 1,100 square feet ocean view bungalows are dreamy enough you’ll never want to leave
- Stellar views from all four of their pools, you’re never short on options or space for activities
South Carolina’s Low country is home to our next favorite, Montage Palmetto Bluff. This 20,000 acre community has an extensive nature preserve, a marina, golf course, and more activities than you can imagine to keep everyone busy!
Why we like it:
- The array of activities is unsurpassed- everything you can imagine to keep all ages busy with so many different interests, from treehouses to golfing to water sports, to their amazing Conservancy and Canine Ambassadors, no one will get bored during their stay!
- From the Rooms to the Cottages, to the village homes, there’s more than enough space for everyone, and it makes it perfect for extended family gatherings
- The Wellness program here is stellar- tucked perfectly into the mossy trees and serene waterways.
Our next favorite takes us up to the unspoiled wilderness in Montana, to The Resort at Paws Up. Situated on 37,000 acres of a working cattle ranch, you have your choice of private homes or safari –style luxury tents. This property is a national park of its own on private land and is the epitome of rustic elegance.
Why we like it:
- It’s perfect for the outdoor adventures- horseback riding, fly fishing, river rafting + even chuck wagon dinners!
- This is also a great spot for a romantic honeymoon for the outdoor loving couple- hot air balloon rides, bonfires outside the cabin, massages in your honeymoon tent- Paws Up curates a perfect stay for every guest
- Nearby Salmon Lake even has its own island, surrounded by the largest and oldest ecosystem in the Lower 48. It’s an outdoor dream!
Our last highlighted location is one of the best! A romantic dream is the Instagram worthy Amangiri, nestled into the canyons of Utah, it’s one of the world’s most dramatic + secluded settings. Wellness is the focus of this serene spot, with nearby Lake Powell and National Parks giving plenty of options for activities as well.
Why we like it:
- The 25,000 square foot Aman Spa is unlike any other, and focuses on Navajo treatments drawing on earth, wind, fire + water.
- The mesmerizing nearby Lake Powell is so remarkable- take a day trip, rent a boat, check out Rainbow Bridge, Antelope Canyon and all the beauty surrounding the lake.
- The menus and sustainable food focus is so unique and beautifully presented here, as well as some amazing private dining options.
